I think the we need a web client built into the website that is ready to log in. No downloading files no nothing. Create and account  and log on from website. Some computer wont let people play plus it  makes just 10x easier for someone who has never played..

When I come to my cottage I have a computer with windows vista and I have download java no matter what I can never get it to work. I bet it's happens with new people trying to  play a game they love but this bullshit and hoops to get connected.. I mean I'm android player all day everyday.. just something for you mods to think about.. easier  to get on more players more player mean more guys buying subs make you $$$ ..  I think rsceumlation at one point had webclient if those guys did.. rscrevolution can because it 10000x better.

this is a very good suggestion - would increase accessibility. idk the specific technical details involved, but if implemented ppl with external client issues will have an additional gateway to access the game.

It might have changed.  But there use to be a web client but it was sadly taken down because of rscrevolution.

Anyone else remember that?

I don't think new broswers allow java applets anymore. It's why you can't play even osrs in broswer.

this really isn't feasible due to the depreciation of the NPAPI browser plugin (java applets running in the browser fall under this plugin) chrome doesn't support it anymore and neither do any other blink based browsers. im not even sure Firefox dose anymore. the only one i know of that it would still work on for sure is Internet Explorer. it was removed from most browsers due to Java security concerns.

Correct. Java drive-bys where no joke and a big way to install RATs on victim's PC's.

yep, and also you still need to install a JRE/JDK for java applets anyway so a webclient is not any easier than running a .jar file.... and its not going to magically make rsc work on devices like a chromebook. really isnt anything a web client would add
