So as of right now, after 25 casts you need to recharge it in the underground pass.

Was Fate's original plan to have it rechargeable through King Lathas in ardy? What is everyone's thoughts on having it unlimited casts?

Cos honestly i'd like to use it in pking on p2p

Given the low alch value of the staff, you wouldn't be able to protect it, unless you 1 itemed with JUST food

Apparently if you lose it you would have to pay 200k each time to get a new staff, so not everyone would exactly rock up in wild with an iban

What if the following were all added.

1. Double the casts
2. Have king recharge them
3. Have the staff get cheaper each purchase 200k - 175k - 150k 125k-100k

Pretty much this ^.
Make it unlimted charges will be way to overpowered, that staff is godlike.
Also i think the cheaper by each purchase should be reset, like after 5-10 of the cheapest cost.
Gotta cost a lil to use it wink

A typical pk trip uses around 60-100 casts, so I was thinking somewhere in that range.

You have to factor in the fact that iban can also hit near double a fire wave, so if 60-100 is normal, 30-50 would be the same amount of damage.

Being as OP as the staff of Iban is.. I think 25 casts before recharge and such a long walk for the recharge is appropriate. My only qualm with it is.. you can obtain broken Iban staves for free in the underground pass, which you can repair for 200k each. With these staves repaired, I feel as though you should be able to get 25 casts from each fixed, charged staff you have. I obtained 10 staves and repaired 4 of them for 800k via the Dark Mage in west ardounge with this assumption in mind, thinking I'd have 100 casts per 4 staves, only to find out you can only get 25 casts per recharge no matter how you do it.


+1 25 casts per staff, rather than 25 casts per account.

The spell did not hit nearly as hard on real rsc as it does on here.

Hits 25s quite often.  It hits better than god mage and the staff is a fucking r2h lol.  It wrecks shit on here.

Yeah that's how I remember it. A lot of people on here claim it hit 25s on real rsc but thats bullshit if you ask me lol

Heres a video i found of Studies101 from rscrevolution classic.


-He didn't hit over 15 once.

I will go on Classic later and try myself, the spell book says a 25 missile attack.

Done in one take, because in life there are no repeats.

Yep that looks correct to me.  15 sounds like the correct max.

i lost 5mil in a stake due to iban staff, level 77 monkrobes + r2h, vs my godmager,
He hide the iban and when stake started, iban pulled out, he almost 3 hit me..
5M gone,. hahah Damn op staff

spell book also says that fire wave has a missile attack of 16, but only maxes 10. dont go by that.

Im agreed with that recharge could be at king ! It´s aint normal i have to walk like 1 hour to get 25 cast again smile
Or you should just make a teleport to Flames of zamorak cauldron!
