Still having an issue. slightly different, i get to the username and password screen, as soon as i press "ok" after entering my credentials, the launcher freezes.

Any idea? - Please read original thread first

Try the following and let me know if it does anything. This will switch you to OpenDNS, a trusted DNS.

Go to System Preferences.
Click on Network.
Select the first connection in your list and click Advanced.
Select the DNS tab and add 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 to the list of DNS servers.
Click OK
