Help the new players.

I have noticed a fair amount of new players the last few days thanks to advertising being done by our staff and a few other players.

I am asking that if we wanna keep the new players.  Willing people take a little bit of time and help a couple of them.

this may be with information, showing them around, or giving them tasks for making GP

also keep all BS chat in ::2 because its set as off by default for new players.  It might scare them away, kind of like my poor grammar and sentence structure.

1hour, once a day, on an alt is all we need. A little help will go a long way.

Don't give them too much, this game takes no effort at all and most of the fun is working towards new armor and items, if it's just given you take half the game away.

I remember Cozybats helped me out when I first started and it does go a long way. I've since convinced two of my brothers to join this server and helped them out as well.

As for trash talking on global, I would suggest they get rid of the global chat altogether. All the trash talking and crying and moaning is highly off-putting.. Ive disabled global chat on all my characters but I'm sure a lot of the new guys don't know that's even an option..

Since turnip arrived it's got really bad, other option is really enforcing rules to make it on ::2 only any breaking is temp ban.

been playing a game with new players called steal or split, you get 2 new players, give them both a knfie and 2 logs, tell them rules then give 10 secs to decide, if both keep logs they split, if one has shortbows and one has logs then shortbow takes cash, if both have shortbows, nobody gets cash, pretty fun minigame to give new players a shot at splitting or stealing instead of just handing them cash
