rscrevolution Classic: The Playing Religiously Guidebook

Playing religiously implies what you do to real others you don’t do to simulated real others. But if applied you would refrain from killing yourself and others, and stealing, while additionally wearing monk robes. This also includes killing indirectly which would be a focal point. Rules below:

As far as food, all meat products are banned. Fishing is not allowed, since there is no option of putting the fish back into the water “catch and release” so essentially the river and oceans will be used up without remorse or mercy.
Anything that was killed, you cannot accept any item from it, or from someone who killed a creature for it. There is an exception, but it is awesome, and belongs below, 1 exception, which are Inner Demons Form.
Foods:
Cabbage(1), Potato (1)
Tomato(2), Pineapple Chunks(2), Pineapple Ring(2)
Bread(4), Redberry Pie (4, x2), Cake(4, x3)
Chocolate Cake(5, x3), Plain Pizza (5, x2)
Apple Pie(10, x2), Pineapple Pizza(10,x2)

Questionable Food:
Beer(1), Dwarven Stout(1), Wizard’s Mind Bomb(1)
Asgarnian Ale(2)
Wine(11)
All Potions (strength, defense, attack, super strength, super defense, super attack, antipoison, restore, super restore, and the rest)

All questionable foods bring up how it affects you. Does the potion or alcoholic beverage seem like something you could really handle right now? If so, is it a medicine? And are the potions to you alcoholic, and make you feel like you’re taking 5 or 10 adderralls or ? Is an attack potion like a strong coffee, or like snorting cola? Drug use is religiously abandoned, and the only reason to use it, would be to understand the exact state of mind again, but whilst sober.

One of the great rewards for eating such a way is something that I realized about tanking.. Which could’ve been better, full load of tunas, or full load of just pineapple pizzas? The pineapple pizzas doubles the 10hp bonus capacity, doesn’t it? Yes.
Cosmetic Foods:
Spinach Roll, Cheese and Tomato Batta, Fruit Batta, Veg Batta, Chocolate Ball, Veg Ball, Chocolate Crunchies, Spice Crunchies

Combat is not allowed normally, except for in training areas, like the dummies in varrock. Chickens cannot be killed for feathers, and any item that requires killing something for it, if it feels not morally right, then you can not accept it.

The only NPCs you can kill are fragments of mind, these are called inner demons which manifest in different ways. These are the only battles you can fight and actually kill anything in. Everything else is a distraction. Do not kill zombies, ghosts, skeletons, ogres, and hobgoblins. All of those types of life are definitely useful to leave alone for a small bonus from within yourself. Zombies represent you dead, and so you don’t want to be afraid of them, so do ghosts, and skeletons have marrow which is very important. Others are deformations of you, but really a correction of some other error in your image, so if you do try to gain a combat level, only do so by fighting inner demons, which are there for that very special purpose… or befriend your inner demons, but that is only if you are fully prepared to do so and it feels harmful to attack them.
If you get attacked, you must for one. Not intentionally attack the loving creature, and disarm the fight quickly. Don’t try to kill them, or overpower them. Killing in self defense if done would eventually become an abused habit which would feel like actual killing as cause and effect then expands.

Inner Demons is just an experimental way to look at the killing. Are these inner demons our creators, the hungrier, more classical designed, longer lasting, ancient, pleasure and other-wisdom seeking points of view? maybe that is why they appear as destructible enemies, or does it hurt your feelings to decide to kill the poor things? depending on where you are at, maybe slaying these inner demons is an exception, and is acceptable. Maybe the inner demons are loveable, or, maybe are some important in time obstacle. Id rather not kill any npc, but if you are the rare few to need to use combat, configure how these demons are in real life if you kill them. are they building blocks seperate from reality, or are they actually really people over there in the middle east getting slaughtered with grenades? how does that feel, wrong or right, in either case the nonviolence is the better answer.

If you're that step behind, Killable NPCs:
Imp(5), Lesser Demon(79), Greater Demon(87), Black Demon(175)
*note you cannot kill delrith because theres 2 or 3 obstacles of mind here. A protagonist, other chaos druids. And the name ‘delrith’

Attire: Wearing Monk robes is a definite requirement. You can get feudalistic. You could wear shield armor and weapons, but this is only makeshift during the times when defeating inner demons., and when out of combat the helmet or hat and shield must be taken off to show respect, when you are done facing demons, though you can keep on.
You “technically” could also train with experienced self-healing fighters, if you asked them nicely but since killing them gives experience, but the fighting doesn’t, there is really no point.
If you cant get robes, youll have to wait until you get your prayer level high enough. Youll have to go to a bone yard, bone respawn, or wilderness to do this. If you buy the bones, if that feels morally wrong, then you cannot do that. In general anything killed does leave bones.

You can only do certain quests. If they have violence, you cant do it. If you can avoid killing, you can do the quests but a lot of these are near impossible to do without killing, just to get past monsters. If its just killing one of the inner demons it shouldve been accepted as ok, but not named demons, like iban.
Quests:
Sheep shearer, Cooks assistant, dorics quest, plague city, biohazard, Dwarf cannon, tribal totem, sea slug, the knight’s sword, black knight’s fortress, the restless ghost, jungle potion, romeo & juliet, tourist trap, observatory quest, gertrudes cat.
The Grand Tree Quest IF the quest being invented and you watching it made a stigma that the Black Demon you have to kill is “mercenary paid” to kill, or no longer represents an inner demon (aka no mystery there) if it seems more like the grand tree is a grand tree of life, and resembles something important for example, then this should be okay to do just use right judgement.
Imp Catcher IF it doesn’t make you feel like you are stealing from the imps, which in that case, you should not attack imps, observing that special case in reverse logic.
Waterfall Quest IF you can avoid killing any skeletons, spiders, giants, and anything else, making your way through (will need your feudal gear for defense, shield and helmet, do not bring with you any weapon.

Should be a total of 36 Quest Points. and minus 5 if you take the above off, so 31.

Unusable Skills:
Herblore: if you use herblore, it involves killing 4 types of animals as a prerequisite. This would mean you are no longer innocent, and hands down, may be reverse attacked somehow by sampling the meat. For example, if you buy the meat, it is like a mule, so the killer of the animal would be doing it technically directly for you, since if they see this guide, they would hesitate to kill an animal and give the meat to you, or consider your plan. Aubury can make a strength potion for you and you can buy them elsewhere, but questionably, if the sellers as a Npc in game are making the potions, thyey could have devised another way to make the potion, for example, aubury needs spider eggs and limpwurt roots, instead of that and the herb ranarr.
Thieving: stealing something back from a rogue NPC character only is the only exception. It’s questionable, but maybe plausible and neutral as far as stealing. Is the rogue a thief and therefore is aware the goods you may take back from them they evenly handle between other thieves, and therefore are giving? If so, then getting thieving experience from the available nonharmful quests should add up to the mathematical logistic of whether you would be allowed to do so.. and even then, you would be sropped and hit in the head by the rogue just like any other character, which really means that stealing, as far as you and your neutral karma, is forbade!
Fishing: This is not allowed.
Fun things to ponder as the religious player monk:
Scavenging: this is questionable, but if someone or something is killed, rules of engagement should be to understand how things are killed and that killing is not a good thing foremost., and that this represents disasters passing, and you represent an outlet for avoiding that disaster, like a caution insignia. Taking items should be a careful thing done, and only taken before they perish, and not if someone actually wants the item. This way you could possibly get all items. The cool and traditional approach, would be to wear monk robes only, while standing by the person training or fighting, kind of like trying to recieive an alm. If it hurts to take the items, then it is not the time to do so
Wandering in the wilderness wearing just robes: what would the other player do? Is it safe to do that, and if it is, would it be fun or cool to experiment and cook food and try to survive while there, possibly gain insight?
Using peaceful means to achieve the unthinkable: Is it ok to achieve greatness? Getting 99 prayer from scavenging in the wild could be a treacherous task and maybe worth that risk! So would woodcutting and firemaking, if you feel you are not deforestationey. Maybe not going out in the wild at all is useful, but to some, may be.
Avoiding your own real new morality death: the deeds looked at from way back could finally mean you are detaching your real thoughts from actually killing yourself, or that you are stacking up some good safe haven/peacestyle points. Think about the mirrioring of the players and characters, observation and good merit, now avoiding a natural disaster representing now nonaccidential reverse intentional destruction! Obviously not dying would be a huge challenge to stay safe, while doing all these amazing ideals, right?
Getting the 1450 skill total and the 36, or even 31, immune questpoints: this would be a task for only the most sincere traveling monk.
Not using bad words: could be an attack if you use them...
Helping others and seeming official.

Guide to playing like a paranormal hunter... in this case you hunt and kill all things supernatural. Most skills will be abandoned because..... who has time to fish or make a pretty little necklace ( crafting) when your fighting off the forces of evil? Monsters to kill range from skeletons and zombies to lesser and greater denons. Killing chickens and cows isn't necessary because.. have you seen a paranormal cow?? Surely not!!! absolutely no people killing UNLESS you think they're possessed in which case..... have at em!!! magic is recommended and all types of melee but no range is allowed because... seriously who the fuck kills a demon with a damn bow and arrow??!!! holy symbols are strongly recommended here... YOU'RE DEALING WITH THE DAMN UNDEAD!!!. saradomin be willing... you'll be Alright chap!!. food is a must... slaying the supernatural takes strength of course. and absolutely no Zamorak robes or godspells.. we want to eliminate evil not join forces with it for petes sakes!! pray all you can... you'll need a miracle to rid glienor of the evils that raid this land!! so go grab the priest robes and your best collection of spells and leave them damn herbs alone.... can't be going around high as a kite when evil lurks around every corner.. that goes for beer wine and all types of alcohol.. can't rid ghost drunk off your ass that's for sure.

Very cool and original, good to see someone creating a play-style besides the typical 'adventurer'.
