Comparing most online games to rscr isn't really a fair comparison. Those games have THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of players. We struggle with reaching 150. This is a close knit community where reaching players who are after what you're selling isn't difficult by any means. More players would simply just trade via world chat again. Like we have since the birth of private servers. An AH tax would simply kill off the AH.

Now I personally believe that you've no right to bitch and complain about gold beatdown.  Since you fully supported the removal of the ONLY gold sink we had in the game(MAD ZEONK).

I say no to tax but instead yes to a lottery instead. that way there is still a gold sink in the game and promotes people to willingly give their gold away.

i cbf spending 10 hours finding a buyer for my hardearned rune sets, so i just put them at AH for 2-3k under the cheapest price and most likely all will be sold within a day.. If this tax thing means people wont automatically check AH if they are in search of something, i will be angry, quit, cut myself, alch my phats, ddos server and snitch on all players i know have broken a rule.

Agreed Tax would be very bad idea, maybe instead have a donation chest where u could donate any amount of money to a random lottery drawing every 24 hours.

Gold sink is a good idea but id say a smaller percentage like 5% on things being sold.

Buyers wouldn't be taxes correct? If so its a good idea. Most people cbf to sit and sell shit for hours on end anyways.

But a lottery gold sink also sounds like a great idea.
