Idea 1... Not that I didn't enjoy the christmas event, but a fair few people were upset at not getting a present so giving everyone a chance with quest would be a good move. I also vote for new item not crackers. Wouldn't re-dropping crackers kill the price of phats? That's what rscrevolution does on OSRS to keep the price of hats at like 50k a pop.

New holiday items please with a quest of reasonable requirements.  Something like 1000 skill total maybe?  So its not too hard but not too easy either.

I would vote for idea one ...I like the quest idea even if it is late...Getting prizes the way Christmas went .. I got none cause I had no time to spend doing it.... thanks Fate and Happy New Year hope Christmas was fun too..

^ This lol, my highest skill total is 631. World drop would be cool but a lot of people would miss it because of going out to party ;D

Making a quest seems like a lot of work for such a short time frame.

Either option 1 or 2 is fine with me though smile.  It'll be interesting to see how you get around people finding a way to do the quest more than once. Also, coming from someone without a party hat, I highly recommend NOT dropping crackers for New Years. It makes p-hats more fun and rare if they stay rare smile.

Option 1, as long as there is some rule/ability to safeguard against people doing the quest more than once. Lotsa people were on during the xmas event, never getting anything but seeing the same person get picked 5+ times. One new item/cracker per IP address, and you can only do the quest if you've had an account for X-amount of time (exact time-frame judged on whatever the skill requirements end up being) just to be sure.

I like either idea. I'd rather not wait for a quest. I also do not think that the items should be party hats in the color which already exist. We already saw what happened to the value of Santa hats over Christmas. I suggest a staff that looks like a Roman candle or something along those lines.
