Speak to @yel@Lucien@whi@ in the Flying Horse Inn, in north-west East Ardougne. Let him recruit you for his adventure, and receive his @lre@Pendant of Lucien@whi@. (If you lose it, he will replace it in the bar.) Head to the marble plateau entrance to the temple dungeon northeast of Ardougne and head down the @cya@ladder@whi@. Wear your @lre@Pendant of Lucien@whi@ to enter the purple room, known as the Room of Fear. Find the @cya@staircase@whi@, make sure you have a @lre@lit candle@whi@, and go down. Cut the @cya@web@whi@ by using a @lre@knife@whi@ or sharp @lre@weapon@whi@ on them and take the @lre@Boots of Lightfootedness@whi@.

Go back up the@cya@ staircase@whi@ and through the @cya@northern door@whi@ in the Room of Fear. You should be in a room containing @yel@skeletons (lvl-54)@whi@. Wear the @lre@Boots of Lightfootedness@whi@ to walk across the western bridge and through the @cya@door@whi@ to retrieve the @lre@lever@whi@ piece. Return across the bridge, and walk further north through the cave until you reach a @cya@lever@whi@. Make sure you disable the traps on the @cya@lever@whi@ before pulling it.

Now return to the entrance @cya@ladder@whi@ of the cave and enter the room filled with ice and @yel@ice spiders (lvl-68)@whi@. Pick up an @lre@ice arrow@whi@, then you will be teleported back to the door. Head north, passing the cave where you disabled the lever's traps. You will find a @cya@locked door@whi@ and a @cya@lever bracket@whi@. Insert the @lre@lever piece@whi@ into the @cya@bracket@whi@ and pull open the @cya@door@whi@. (Do it quick or the @cya@lever@whi@ will disappear in seconds.) You must kill the @yel@Fire Warrior of Lesarkus (lvl-63)@whi@, starting out with at least one @lre@ice arrow@whi@. If you run out of them, other @lre@arrows@whi@ may be used to finish him off. This will open the door next to him.

Talk to @yel@Winelda@whi@ the witch, and give her @lre@20 limpwurt roots@whi@. She will teleport you across the lava. Go past the @yel@skeletons (lvl-54)@whi@ and then past the @yel@lesser demons (lvl-79)@whi@ and take the @lre@shiny key@whi@ at the end of the passage. Go back up the passage and push the @cya@strange looking wall@whi@ to enter the room of the @yel@Guardians of Armadyl@whi@. You now have two options: side with the guardians, thereby protecting the @lre@Staff of Armadyl@whi@, or siding with @yel@Lucien@whi@, who wants it for his own dark ends.

Remove your @lre@Pendant of Lucien@whi@. Talk to one of the @yel@Guardians@whi@. He will tell you to kill @yel@Lucien@whi@ to protect the staff and gives you a @lre@Pendant of Armadyl@whi@ which will allow you to attack Lucien.

Keep your @lre@Pendant of Lucien@whi@ equipped. Take the @lre@Staff of Armadyl@whi@ - you may have to kill many of the @yel@Guardians of Armadyl (lvl-54)@whi@ before they let you.

Exit the room by the @cya@strange looking@whi@ wall and go up the ladder@whi@ near Winelda@whi@ and the lava. Use your shiny key@whi@ on the door@whi@ to exit, and you will find it leads you slightly north of McGrubor's Wood. Go east of Edgeville / north-west of Varrock. You will find a building. Enter that building and depending on your choice, kill @yel@Lucien (lvl-21)@whi@ while wielding the @lre@Pendant of Armadyl@whi@ OR give him the @lre@Staff of Armadyl@whi@ to complete the quest.
