Team Dueling (Deathmatch) & more!

Greetings RSCR family,

We're thrilled to announce that after a long wait, today Team Battles have come to the world of RuneScape Classic! Building on the team system we added last week, you will now be able to challenge other teams to epic battles in two new arenas. Team win/loss ratios are recorded and spoils of war will automatically be deposited into team bank upon victory. You can chose the arena type, fun or unsafe (whether or not items are dropped on death), or what to stake from your team bank. In the future, we will also be adding game modes for you to choose from like capture the flag and others.

HOW TO MAKE A TEAM BATTLE

1). Create a team (team system post is here). If you're already on a team skip this step.
2). Set up a party with your team by using the command ::invite user-name
3). Right click your opponent party leader while in Edgeville and request Deathmatch.
4). Leaders will select settings and commence fight!

Remember, ::p is party chat and ::t is team chat. The commands "::teamkick username" and "::teampromote username" can remove and promote your members, respectively. You can use the wrench menu Team manager to create and manage your team.

Our combat rings have also been adjusted, please note the following changes:

All in all, please take note of the following changes in this latest patch:
-Team Deathmatch, team dueling added
-Added new original battle arenas compatible with upcoming battle scenarios
-Mad Zeonk now teleports you to random wilderness obelisk, gives skull and takes 10k from bank
-Ring attributes adjusted
-Removed "make snowballs" option appearing on some textures
-Fixed Ship Foreman issue from Grand Tree quest
-Fixed issue with getting stuck in Murder Mystery quest
-Fixed "null" bug when interacting with players
-Fixed replacement Wrought Iron Key in Tourist Trap
-Must be in Edgeville to challenge opponent to DM
-Made close menu button bigger for bank
-Fixed issue where trying to equip a 2nd copy deleted certain items

Great Job Guys, and i hope its as fun as it sounds.
Thank You for being a Great Developer N0m, and donating lots of time into foxing issues and what not.

Perhaps one day players will have some type of High Alc batch for so many items as repeatedly clicking to High Alc individually is time consuming and dull, especially when alcing 2k+ items.

I just hope it doesn't effect wildy PK too much, things are becoming more and more safe, no reason to really go wild anymore, so I hope we're going to see hotspot rework like we've been promised

Just curious if you guys are planning on adding any additional features, like restricting who can and cannot withdraw from the team bank, or ability to upgrade # of team members?

I have planned to add configurable team ranks for each group. Team size will stay at 10 unless our player count will rise to double its size.

I have feedback for this, we just did a bit of testing so here goes:
1. Loot gained from team dms doesn't work the same, either have a 1 min timer so u can loot or make sure everything is dropped including equipped items, we did a test f2p battle and only longbows dropped.

2. P2p isn't enabled as it's in 69 or 70 wilderness so even if it's a p2p day I can't use p2p gear

3. The maps are sexy as fuck

4. Should be able to have randoms join you, having everyone on the same team means if you have skillers in there theyre pretty much useless for team DMs

I just came to review too.. Love it. love the maps only things are what badboys said.

like my team has skillers so i want to be able to join randoms to battle and not only be able to battle with my skiller team.

also if i let random pkers join my team just so i can do a team battle, i dont want those randoms to have access to my bank and shit lol

This is why you should pick your team wisely.. x amt of skillers and x amt of combat/PK guys for DM.
