I appreciate your hard work as much as the next guy, so please don't take this the wrong way, but I'm confused as to why it takes so long to develop new items? Especially these God armors.. The base graphic is already there from rune armor, all you need to do is some basic editing, save as new file, and place in the folder.. And the editing, especially when the base is already there, shouldn't take too long.. I made custom items for my servers, from scratch, and it never took more than a couple hours between editing, position correcting, bonus editing and implementation.. Are your developers very experienced? Again don't take this wrong, I am just curious..

My guess is trying to jam a massive amounts of changes into each update, if so, may I suggest more frequent updates with less content in each one? I understand the want to please everyone and do as much as possible. But, in my experience, though more updates means more down time, with less content per update there are far less bugs and kinks to work out each time. And, as long as you do the editing correctly, you can have everything in the right place before the server goes off-line to implement, so as to only need to reset the server to do so. Baby steps yes,  but many baby steps further with less back steps will get you to the finish line faster than trying to leap the whole way, tripping and having to get back up often.. I feel the need to insist my point that I do not intend this post to bash in any way, and that I do appreciate yours and your team's worth very much so, these are just suggestions and curiosities.

There's a lot of things happening behind the scenes, we have to maintain the server in its current state and work on new updates. This update was delayed due to switching to the newer RSC client and that process took a lot of work, we started at some time in January, during the client revision switch we couldn't work on this update at all.

Just out of curiosity n0m, what features did the new RSC client have that the RSCR client didn't have? And how old was the RSCR mudclient compared to the new RSC mc? As far as I know RSC hasn't had any significant content updates in nearly 10 years, and most of the updates since then were just tweaks to allow RS3 players to try RSC (and a handful of aesthetic changes to the UI). So I'm just curious about what the RSCR client was lacking that made this shift necessary?

PS. Thanks for the hard work man smile we all appreciate it. I know it's no easy task, I'm just wondering what compelled you guys to take it on.

I personally think the server ran a lot smoother in general, before Friday's update. I thought the old RSCR client was great and smooth, I also rarely lagged even though I live in the UK compared to Canada where the server was. Now the server is barely an hour's flight from me and it feels much much slower to be honest

I have cherry-picked from the update notes the most profound changes..

"Using latest rscrevolution Classic client version 234.
Resizing client window fully working for all OS (confirmed by Mod Billy).
Using latest RSC data files.
Wrote a new client base for android and PC users. [Note: now can roll out updates on both platforms with greater ease/stability)
[...]
Fixed memory leak within database manager.
Fixed Game Object, Wall Object reaching like RSC. This should crush at least 5 bugs that we had with reaching objects behind walls on some rare places.
The fix above will also fix all the issues with "Walk to actions" IE: Item use on door and stopping on same tile as door.
Fixed ranged projecttile clipping.
[...]
Made login much faster.
Fixed godspell and charge animations.
Made last hit display when you respawn in Lumbridge after death like RSC.
[...]
Added RSC ticks to game events. [Mod Billy note: this means we are playing in true RSC clocktime.]
[...]
Replicated RSC shop prices formula, for all shops (prices lower or higher depending on stock etc).
[...]
ItemOnPlayer are now handled by plugins.
Doors, gate and fences are now closing every 300 seconds like on real RSC.
[...]
Dumped all GameObjects and WallObjects from real RSC, the entire world of rscrevolution (Thanks kevin for spending days dumping)."

In general, the update 1) brought us closer to our goal of being a complete replica of RSC and 2) improved stability of future updates.

Patience... No time line as of right now for this -- as they have already stated.

Noxx hasn't been on the forums in a few weeks anyways.

Why not just play the game and enjoy the content already there? They will provide updates when they can.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to implement a new equipables? I'm guessing no, it takes a lot of time to get the sprite animations to look good and to work flawlessly.
