This is exactly right.

Ideally bury during a double experience event, type ::skull to skull yourself which also increases the experience from burying bones. If you can, get yourself in the group currently holding the PvP Hotspot as that also increases experience gain by 50%.

Is fort still giving bonus exp?
p2p day alternate so plan around that
Fort may be better for the free 50% extra exp if you have no eggs. May need to pay a clan in control to join or go when its not busy

Fort while holding and double exp or castle during hotspot and double exp. Also double subs if you have a bunch to bury.
