The Reaper is no joke, but if you kill his healing hellhounds then pounce at the right moment, if you tank without dying then you and your team should be able to do enough dps. Fun stuff!

No, strat is to kill the first hellhound spawns, nuke the boss in that window, if more hellhounds spawn kill them, then nuke the boss.
But as you can see there are situations where continuing to nuke the boss rather than scrambling to retarget dogs can work -if the boss is real low and there are only 2 dogs for example, and your casters arent terrible

So you don't have to have a second hound dedicated team to do it? What have you looted so far, is it worth the cost/effort?
Often people just do weaker paralyze dragons (including not the KBD) because of the long haul loot and the worth of D bones/other drops (though black demons of course don't drop d bones)
