Why won't the client launch?

I get to the first screen with the text, and hit the red PLAY button, and a new window pops up.  It's white and nothing loads.  What gives?  I was playing fine yesterday on the same comp.

It's possible you need to uninstall and reinstall Java, you could also try this workaround

I found the problem.  RSCR doesn't work with Java 9.  I had to download Java 8 JRE and then make a batch file to point to that java installation in order to get past the white window.

Are the devs able to make the launcher for Java 9?
